This group has become very popular, meeting for social bridge in a friendly atmosphere.

Our group usually includes up to 16 members gathering on Wednesday afternoons for friendly and relaxed games where we play Acol Duplicate bridge. Each game includes 4 people divided into 2 sets of partners.

Bridge has similarities with whist, so a knowledge of whist is helpful, with the added interest of bidding for a contract.

We play with different people each week so you can join without a partner. We welcome beginners, and after providing some guidance on how to play the game, we get you started on your first visit.

At the end of each hand, we all lay our cards face up and go through how the bidding was done and whether a better contract could have been reached. We all enjoy it, and it is a continuous learning process for us all.

Come along and give it a try, but I warn you – it is addictive!!
