New Family History Group

We are looking for a group leader to start a new Family History Group where people sharing their genealogy interest can compare notes. Several people have shown an interest in having such a group.

If you feel you could coordinate such a group please email Newquay u3a Groups Coordinator.

• All the Group Leader would need to do is schedule and book the meetings, and contact the members of the group.
• Meetings could be held in the library, subject to availability, or in any of our other regualar venues, or even in a group member's home.

In the past our Sheila helped individuals to research their own family history, teaching many members how to access and use the census reports. Her enthusiasm was infectious and she would willingly help people find all their family secrets. Newquay Library very kindly gave Sheila authority to use the library on a regular basis. Thanks to Sheila's help, several of our members have been able to trace relatives of whom they had no previous knowledge. Congratulations Sheila on a job well done!
