The Music Appreciation Group is a sociable gathering of friends who listen to music on CD's, chosen by members of the Group, usually following a theme chosen at the previous meeting.  The music is mainly classical and chosen to reflect the wide difference in knowledge and favourite areas of the members. Other popular genres are also chosen - musicals, jazz and pop have featured. We keep abreast of what is on in theatre and cinema and members arrange to go together to chosen events eg. opera and ballet at Newquay Cinema, and concerts at Hall for Cornwall. An annual event is a trip to St Columb Major in August  for the "Harmoniemusik"  festival concerts.
